Bluebonnet Girls State Report

Lion Paul Drush, our club President, sponsored a boy and his family to attend the camp family session in June this summer.   They were guests at our 4 September club meeting and told us about their wonderful experience at Lions Camp and their desire to attend again next summer.

Our newest member, Jeff Womack, was inducted into Lions Club as a member of our Evening Lions Club at our 19 February 2025 club meeting.   Welcome Jeff.

The poster that our club gave 1st place has now been judged at the district 2-S3 level as 1st place.   It will be submitted for judging at the state, MD2, level.   Congratulations Teagan. Our club has donated a U.S. flag and a Texas state flag to the Comal County Fair Association.   These flags are displayed in the building where youth meet to show their livestock at the Comal County Fair grounds.  

This year our club is sponsoring 3 girls to attend the Bluebonnet Girls State program.  They have just completed their junior year at John Paul II Catholic High School.  The Girls State program will take place at Texas Lutheran University from 16 to 22 June. Our club is a sponsor of the New Braunfels Youth Lacrosse organization.   Two of our newer members, Cortney and Amanda Kinnan, are involved in supporting the NBYL activities with their 2 sons, Cade and Decker, on the team.  The Kinnan family gave a presentation about the youth lacrosse organization at our 5 March club meeting…
