Each year our club conducts fund raising to have funds to support humanitarian needs in our community and the surrounding area. Our major fund-raising event is during the Wurstfest each fall where we have a booth to sell prepared food and drink items.
One of our newer fund-raising events has been the Roar and Run Lion’s 5K fun run, that was first held in the spring of 2021.
More recently we are raising funds to support our service project, the Craft House, that offers a monthly program of supportive space for creativity, connection, and fun to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We are also raising funds to restore free computer classes at the New Braunfels Food Bank. As part of these fund raising activities we partner with local restaurants for a Dine-to-Donate method of receiving a percentage of sales on a selected day from customers that mention our organization’s project.
