Our club is again sponsoring 3 girls to attend the Bluebonnet Girls State program. Our donation for sponsorhip was presented to the local American Legion Auxiliary on 15 December at the Post 179. The Girls State program will take place at Texas Lutheran University.
The wildfires in Lions District 2-T1 have caused a disaster in Canadian, Texas and other communities close by. Many homes and other properties have been destroyed by the fires and lives have been lost. Another monthly class was held May 4th at the Westside Branch of the New Braunfels Public Library. 31 adults registered for the class. The project was to create a mosiac coaster. The dedicated group of volunteers helping with the May class included 9 new volunteers from the First United Methodist Church.
Three new members were installed during our 2 April 2025 club meeting. District Governor Jeff Kunkel conducted the installation ceremony. Welcome new members Tina Byram, Jim Even, and Roslyn Even.
