Donation to Family Life Center

At our club meeting on July 15th, 2026, our guest speaker was Dr. Kay Scott, executive director of Family Life Center for Comal and Guadalupe counties.  Dr. Scott described the process they use to help families that have a valid need for assistance to sustain their housing, food, and other essential needs with the goal for each client family to be self-sufficient.

“The vision of the Family Life Center is to prevent eviction and displacement of families by providing essential rental and utility assistance. Additionally, we offer supportive rehousing efforts, food support and comprehensive wraparound services to ensure families become and/or remain stable and secure in their homes.”

As well as donating funds to support the mission of the Family Life Center, our club works with the Center to verify each request our club receives for financial assistance, such as to pay for an eye exam or eyeglasses.

Our club presented a check for $1000 for the Family Life Center following Dr. Scott’s presentation.
