New Member Inducted at 21 February meeting

During our annual Awards and Installation Banquet in June, Melvin Jones Fellowship awards to Lion Joe Vasquez and Lion Glenn Herman were announced.  Once the official award packages arrived, these were presented at club meetings to Joe and Glenn.

Our newest member, Jeff Womack, was inducted into Lions Club as a member of our Evening Lions Club at our 19 February 2025 club meeting.   Welcome Jeff.

Lion Paul Drush, our club President, sponsored a boy and his family to attend the camp family session in June this summer.   They were guests at our 4 September club meeting and told us about their wonderful experience at Lions Camp and their desire to attend again next summer.

Our club donated $1000 to the HOSA organization for future healthcare professionals at the Smithson Valley High School.  Members from that HOSA organization volunteered to help us during our fundraising at Wurstfest 2024.

This year our club is sponsoring 3 girls to attend the Bluebonnet Girls State program.  They have just completed their junior year at John Paul II Catholic High School.  The Girls State program will take place at Texas Lutheran University from 16 to 22 June.
