New Member Inducted at 21 February meeting

Our newest member, Jeff Womack, was inducted into Lions Club as a member of our Evening Lions Club at our 19 February 2025 club meeting.   Welcome Jeff.

Club member Daniel J. (DJ) Martinez sponsored the daughter of his good friends to attend the Texas Lions Camp.  She attended the June 23 – 29 session for children with Down Syndrome.  At the June 28 Awards Night, DJ joined with the family to celebrate.

On Saturday May 9th, the local American Legion Auxiliary Unit 179 held a reception for the girls who will be attending this years Bluebonnet Girls State program, their parents, and their sponsors.   Lions Bob Oldham and Skip Nolte attended to represent our club and meet the girls that our club is sponsoring. Several members participated in the Men Who Cook event, held 12 October at the Witte Museum, that helped raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of San Antonio.   They got 2nd place for People’s Choice and raised $3928.
