The wildfires in Lions District 2-T1 have caused a disaster in Canadian, Texas and other communities close by. Many homes and other properties have been destroyed by the fires and lives have been lost.
At our club meeting on 6 March 2024, we approved a donation of $2000 to the Panhandle of Texas Lions Foundation to help with the disaster relief.
Members of our club traveled to the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville to present scholarships and travel stipends to camp counselors on Friday evening, July 17th. 3 scholarship awards (for US based counselors) and 3 travel stipend (for international based counselors) awards were presented to camp counselors that had been selected by the camp staff. …
