At our 3 January club meeting, our guest speaker was Jacob Huereca, CEO of the non-profit organization Connections. Connections started in 1981 as an organization to support at-risk youth in Comal County and has expanded to serve 17 counties with counseling, prevention programming, an emergency children’s shelter and a youth transitional living program.

Our club donated $1000 to Connections.
Scouts and leaders from local Troop 119 again helped our club with our annual fund raiser at Wurstfest by participating in the operation of the Opa and Oma parking lot. Our club donated funds raised from the parking lot operation to the troop. Presentation of the donation was made at our 3 January club meeting.
The fundraiser was held Saturday October 18 at the Sip n Putt in New Braunfels. Good attendance and many donations made this a very successful event.
