At our 3 January club meeting, our guest speaker was Jacob Huereca, CEO of the non-profit organization Connections. Connections started in 1981 as an organization to support at-risk youth in Comal County and has expanded to serve 17 counties with counseling, prevention programming, an emergency children’s shelter and a youth transitional living program.

Lion Bob Miller, chair of our Eyeglasses committee, has reported For April 2025 that 6 boxes containing 500 to 1000 eyeglasses have been collected and sent to the Midland facility. Our club participated in the event at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on 12 December 2025, placing 78 wreaths on graves in section L.
