Club President Larry Kunkel presents Patsy Harlan and Cindy Helms with a $375 scholarship check for Texas Bluebonnet Girls State. Patsy is president and Cindy is a member of Unit 179 Auxiliary, Walton F. Hoffmann Memorial Post 179 of the American Legion.

Lion Grey Baker just devoted 2 1/2 consistent years SERVING others!  How?  He grew out his hair into a long, luxurious, if graying, PONY TAIL and recently donated it to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces from such donations to financially disadvantaged children suffering from hair loss due to any diagnosis.   On 16 July Lion Stew Rayfield came upon an accident with a car pinned under an 18 wheeler on I-35.  Until EMS units arrived, Stew attempted to get the driver of the car out of the wreckage and save his life.  Unfortunately, the man did not survive the accident.  A few days before the…
