New Braunfels Evening Lions Club Charity Fund

During the Lions fiscal year 2021-2022, the New Braunfels Evening Lions Club formed our associated organization the New Braunfels Evening Lions Club Charity Fund.   This associated organization was formed to be an organization recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt public charity.

In February of 2022, the state of Texas recognized the registration of the New Braunfels Evening Lions Club Charity Fund as a non-profit corporation and provided a Certificate of Filing to accept our Charity Fund as a Domestic Nonprofit Corporation.

In March of 2022, the IRS determined that the New Braunfels Evening Lions Club Charity Fund is exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) and classified it as a public charity.

As such, donors of contributions to our 501(c)(3) qualified charity may claim these donations as tax deductible.   Our public charity is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts, per applicable sections of the Internal Revenue Code.
