Volunteering at New Braunfels Food Bank
Club members volunteered at the New Braunfels Food Bank on Saturdays 7 and 14 January 2023.
Tasks included packing carts with food items for clients to pick up that day, boxing canned, boxed, bagged food items into ‘Program Boxes’, and delivering ‘Program and Produce’ boxes to clients who were unable to pickup.
Several dozen grocery carts were loaded for pickup.
In the pantry approximately 12000 pounds of food items were boxed into 480 ‘Program Boxes’ by about 20 volunteers including 3 club members, to serve 480 families.
Club members made deliveries to 8 families in New Braunfels, Seguin, and Cibolo on January 7th.
