At our June 7th club meeting, chaplains Chris Siegle and John Howanstine discussed their role in the New Braunfels Police Department. Our club has donated a protective vest for the chaplains’ use during their interactive support in law enforcement events with the New Braunfels Police Department.

President Larry Kunkel presents a check for $550 to Mac McDonald of American Legion Post 35 in New Braunfels. This money will be used to send two boys to Boys State this summer.
As it has become a tradition, our club provides a scholarship to Lions Camp counselors selected by the camp staff. On Saturday June 30th we assembled and installed a gazebo in front of the Rehabilitation Center at EdenHill Communities. We also helped to develop a Butterfly Garden at EdenHill. That part of project was worked on June 23rd to install a crushed granite walkway and July 7th to plant native plants. …
