Lion Paul Drush, our club President, sponsored a boy and his family to attend the camp family session in June this summer. They were guests at our 4 September club meeting and told us about their wonderful experience at Lions Camp and their desire to attend again next summer.
During our 2 March 2016 meeting, our club presented our donations to the American Legion Post 179, to the New Braunfels Little League, and to We’re All In.
Awards night at TLC was held 4 August 2017. New Braunfels Evening Lions Club awarded 5 scholarships in honor of 5 legacy active members to camp counselors. Club president Larry Kunkel presents a check for $502.99 to HydroAngels Over America president Sheri Burdine for their support of our parking lot project at Wurstfest. Standing next to Sheri are Lions Georgia and Mike Wells, who also devote much time serving with HydroAngels.
Our club has donated a U.S. flag and a Texas state flag to the Comal County Fair Association. These flags are displayed in the building where youth meet to show their livestock at the Comal County Fair grounds.
