December Meeting and Donations
We met at the Landa Haus for our only meeting in December to celebrate the season and make donations to three local charitable organizations.

The Marktplatz was destroyed by a fire in November 2019 and our booth with all contents was a total loss.  A new Marktplatz has been built and we have a new although smaller (about 16’x16′) booth.  Since the fall of 2020 we have been purchasing new equipment for the booth.  Most of the new…
A donation was made to support the services provided by the Crisis Center during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. An additional donation of $150 to the Crisis Center was made in December.
The club is sponsoring a team for the 2023 season of the New Braunfels Little League. Â
Several members met at the grounds of the Heritage Society of New Braunfels on Saturday morning, 24 October 2020, to assemble and construct a gazebo.  Approximately 26 Lions hours were spent completing this service project.
Lion Jeff Kunkel has been requested by the District 2-S3 to be a candidate for the office of 2nd Vice District Governor this coming Lions year 2022-23. Jeff is eager to serve in this capacity at the district level. Our board has approved for the club to place Jeff’s name for nomination of this district…
Club president Larry Kunkel presents a check for $502.99 to HydroAngels Over America president Sheri Burdine for their support of our parking lot project at Wurstfest. Standing next to Sheri are Lions Georgia and Mike Wells, who also devote much time serving with HydroAngels.
