Donation to the NB Food Bank
At our 1 March club meeting, Nate Raschke, Workforce Coordinator at the New Braunfels Food Bank, talked about the services that organization provides for our community and the counties of Comal and Guadalupe (nbfoodbank.org). Over 7000 individuals are served monthly. Mr. Raschke also discussed the various opportunities for members of the community to volunteer at the NB Food Bank. Overall, the New Braunfels Food Bank is a highly effective and efficiently run organization; 98% of funds donated go back into the community with only 2% used for administrative costs.
Following Mr. Raschke’s presentation, our club President, Clint Herman, announced that our club is donating $500 to the New Braunfels Food Bank. Mr. Raschke stated that amount can provide food for 3500 meals.
