As it has become a tradition, our club provides a scholarship to Lions Camp counselors selected by the camp staff. On July 12th, members of our club traveled to the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville to attend the Awards Night and participate in the celebration. As part of the ceremonies a $1000 scholarship was awarded and presented by our club to each of 5 camp counselors.
Several members participated in the Men Who Cook event, held 12 October at the Witte Museum, that helped raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of San Antonio. They got 2nd place for People’s Choice and raised $3928.
The poster that our club gave 1st place has now been judged at the district 2-S3 level as 1st place. It will be submitted for judging at the state, MD2, level. Congratulations Teagan. Club member Daniel J. (DJ) Martinez sponsored the daughter of his good friends to attend the Texas Lions Camp. She attended the June 23 – 29 session for children with Down Syndrome. At the June 28 Awards Night, DJ joined with the family to celebrate.

Our club has donated a U.S. flag and a Texas state flag to the Comal County Fair Association. These flags are displayed in the building where youth meet to show their livestock at the Comal County Fair grounds.
