On Sunday morning, August 20th, several club members volunteered to help with a cleanup and organization the day after a sales event at Habitat for Humanity’s local ReStore. Our club also made a donation of $400 for studs toward Habitat’s local housing projects.

On Saturday, April 5th, members of our club participated in a work project to ready the Texas Lions Camp for the camp sessions this summer. Our work project was to apply a new coat of stain to a fountain.
Our club met on the 13th of December to share the fellowship of the Holidays and give to some charitable organizations who serve our community. Club President Larry Kunkel presents Patsy Harlan and Cindy Helms with a $375 scholarship check for Texas Bluebonnet Girls State. Patsy is president and Cindy is a member of Unit 179 Auxiliary, Walton F. Hoffmann Memorial Post 179 of the American Legion.
This is the Lions’ pin collection of deceased member, Lion Dan Hutchison. His widow, Doris (her name is penciled on top of page 1 of roster), donated these to the club for their use. At a recent auction, one anonymous Lions member purchased the entire collection, with proceeds going directly to Texas Lions Camp.
The Marktplatz was destroyed by a fire in November 2019 and our booth with all contents was a total loss. A new Marktplatz has been built and we have a new although smaller (about 16’x16′) booth. Since the fall of 2020 we have been purchasing new equipment for the booth. Most of the new…
