The New Braunfels Evening Lions club was chartered on 31 May 1967 to become the 900th club in Texas.
At this time our club has 42 members with 32 men and 10 women.
Club meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month, although usually only once in November and December. The meetings start at 6pm and typically last about 1 hour, and most have a guest speaker.
Dues are $262 annually for regular active members. Members are billed quarterly $65.50; if budgeting for this, it is about $5 a week. These dues consist of local ($204.50), district ($7), state ($7.50), and international ($43) dues. The local dues portion is mostly to cover the cost of meals at the club meetings and the remainder to cover administrative expenses such as post-office box rental, surety bond, web domain registry. There are other membership categories with lower dues, but those have some restrictions.
