U.S. and Texas State Flags Donated
Our club has donated a U.S. flag and a Texas state flag to the Comal County Fair Association. These flags are displayed in the building where youth meet to show their livestock at the Comal County Fair grounds.

Donation for Boys State 2015
President Larry Kunkel presents a check for $550 to Mac McDonald of American Legion Post 35 in New Braunfels. This money will be used to send two boys to Boys State this summer.
Honoring Lion Dan Hutchison
This is the Lions’ pin collection of deceased member, Lion Dan Hutchison. His widow, Doris (her name is penciled on top of page 1 of roster), donated these to the club for their use. At a recent auction, one anonymous Lions member purchased the entire collection, with proceeds going directly to Texas Lions Camp.
The New Braunfels Evening Lions Club received the 2012 E.P. “Pete” Nowotny Award for Civic Organization of the Year.
The award began in 1936, when the New Braunfels Jaycees, under the leadership of Pete Nowotny, successfully negotiated the sale of Landa Park to the City of New Braunfels. The New Braunfels Jay-cees and Mr. Nowotny were responsible for turning out the vote in order to pass a bond that funded the park purchase. In…
