Texas Lions Camp Awards Night August 7, 2015








At our June 7th club meeting, chaplains Chris Siegle and John Howanstine discussed their role in the New Braunfels Police Department.  Our club has donated a protective vest for the chaplains’ use during their interactive support in law enforcement events with the New Braunfels Police Department.
Financial assistance scholarships were awarded to six students in the Smithson Valley High School Debate Club, for them to attend a summer camp and further their knowledge and skills of debating.

Lion Grey Baker just devoted 2 1/2 consistent years SERVING others! How? He grew out his hair into a long, luxurious, if graying, PONY TAIL and recently donated it to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces from such donations to financially disadvantaged children suffering from hair loss due to any diagnosis. At our 4 November club meeting, Sondra Ajasin, Chief Executive Officer of TruLight127 Ministries, a non-profit, charitable organization, was our guest speaker. TruLight127 provides and facilitates foster care of children from abusive family environments.  They cover an area including Kerrville, Hondo, San Marcos, Seguin as well as Comal County.  Currently they have 174 foster children.  …
Lion Jeff Kunkel has been requested by the District 2-S3 to be a candidate for the office of 2nd Vice District Governor this coming Lions year 2022-23. Jeff is eager to serve in this capacity at the district level. Our board has approved for the club to place Jeff’s name for nomination of this district…
