At our 21 February club meeting, members of the Crisis Center of Comal County organization were our guest speakers. Club members brought supplies that the Crisis Center needs to support their clientele. And the club also donated $2000 to the Crisis Center.

Scouts and leaders from local Troop 119 again helped our club with our annual fund raiser at Wurstfest by participating in the operation of the Opa and Oma parking lot. Our club donated funds raised from the parking lot operation to the troop. Presentation of the donation was made at our 3 January club meeting.
At our 1 March club meeting, Nate Raschke, Workforce Coordinator at the New Braunfels Food Bank, talked about the services that organization provides for our community and the counties of Comal and Guadalupe (nbfoodbank.org). At our May 3rd club meeting, Laci Bird of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children Texas was our guest speaker. SJRC Texas, a non-profit organization, provides care for children affected by trauma, abuse, and neglect. At our 16 March club meeting, representatives of the PAWS 4 Hearts organization talked about the goals of their charitable organization and serving the New Braunfels and surrounding area by providing therapy dogs for physical and emotional support. President Glenn Herman presents a check for our $500 donation to PAWS 4 Hearts.
