Donations and Grants made in Lion’s Year 2021-22

Our club is again sponsoring 3 girls to attend the Bluebonnet Girls State program.  Our donation for sponsorhip was presented to the local American Legion Auxiliary on 15 December at the Post 179.  The Girls State program will take place at Texas Lutheran University.

At our May 4 club meeting, Jim Wesson, Executive Director of New Braunfels Christian Ministries, was our guest speaker.   The New Braunfels Christian Ministries has two programs, Volunteers in Medicine and Kids Club.   The Volunteers in Medicine provide quality medical and dental care at no cost to local uninsured patients.  Kids Club is a program…

Scouts and leaders from local Troop 119 again helped our club with our annual fund raiser at Wurstfest by participating in the operation of the Opa and Oma parking lot.  Our club donated funds raised from the parking lot operation to the troop.  Presentation of the donation was made at our 3 January club meeting.
