Club member Daniel J. (DJ) Martinez sponsored the daughter of his good friends to attend the Texas Lions Camp. She attended the June 23 – 29 session for children with Down Syndrome. At the June 28 Awards Night, DJ joined with the family to celebrate.
Our club is a sponsor of the New Braunfels Youth Lacrosse organization. Lion Paul Drush, our club President, sponsored a boy and his family to attend the camp family session in June this summer. They were guests at our 4 September club meeting and told us about their wonderful experience at Lions Camp and their desire to attend again next summer.
During our annual Awards and Installation Banquet in June, Melvin Jones Fellowship awards to Lion Joe Vasquez and Lion Glenn Herman were announced. Once the official award packages arrived, these were presented at club meetings to Joe and Glenn.
